Even though I’ve been creating pet portraits for the past few years, I do draw other things. 😉
I’ve selected a few of my favorites and included them in the slideshow below. I hope you enjoy!

"I ordered a drawing of mine and my mom’s
Virtual Magic Kingdom avatars for my mom
for Christmas. This game will always hold a
special place in our hearts and JM captured
them perfectly! It was everything and more
than I could have ever imagined!"
Watercolor Flowers
Early '90s. Watercolors.
I did this painting sometime during the early 1990s. Normally I have a reference photo or landscape, still life, or something that I refer to in order to create a painting. I always say I cannot create from my imagination, but I guess in some ways I can. This is just one of a few paintings that are very dear to me, since it was created in my mind. This makes me want to try watercolors again.
My Interpretation of Jay Scott Pike's "SS Pin-Up"

Wall-e Tattoo
Sharpie Markers.
I drew this tattoo directly on someone's skin.
My Impression of Tarkay's "Fame"
2005. Chalk on Black Paper.
I love Tarkay's creations. The colors are so vibrant and the drawing style so loose... very unlike what I usually do.
Simplicity
12-14-16. 8"x10" Watercolors

My Daughter
2013. Graphite pencils.
My daughter took a self-portrait that I really loved,
so much that I drew it. :)
colorplayflower
11-24-16. 8"x10" Watercolors
Pastel Tears
16"x20" Watercolors.
This is the second painting I've done in 9 months. Even though my mom is no longer here, I believe she is still supporting me from above. I think that's the only reason I am able to paint without her being here. Like the last painting, there was no reference image. Second in the series.
Silent Tears
16"x20" Watercolors.
It's been almost 9 months since my mom passed, and since I've drawn or painted anything. I finally was able to pick up a paintbrush and create something. This first piece of artwork was extremely hard to work on, because I'm missing my biggest supporter... my mom.
I usually draw from a reference image, but this painting had none. She was created inside my mind. She's the first in a series.
Landscape
Late 80's to Early 90's. 8-1/2"x11" Oil Pastels.
Normally I have a reference photo or landscape, still life, or something that I refer to in order to create a painting. I always say I cannot create from my imagination, but I guess in some ways I can. This is just one of a few paintings that are very dear to me, since it was created in my mind.
Painted Thy Self
11-26-16. 8"x10" Watercolors
3Doodler Sculpture
11-19-16. 8"x10" Watercolors
My Daughter's Tattoo
February, 2013.
I designed this tattoo for my daughter, and she finally had the real thing done. She wanted the tattoo simple and sketchy, and she loves how it turned out.
The camera is for her passion for photography; and the butterflies... it's said that whenever you want to harm yourself, you should draw a butterfly on your body. If you harm yourself, the butterfly dies. If you don't, the butterfly lives and eventually flies away. My daughter's butterflies will never die. <3 It's wonderful to have a tattoo that you love, and even better when it holds a great deal of meaning.
My Interpretation of Ray William McCarty's "Reflections"
'90s. 24"x27" Approx. Chalk.
I'll have to see about getting a better photo of this one.
Irises
Early '80s. Oils on Flat Canvas.
Nail Polish Painted Clown
Late '80s. 5"x7" Nail Polish on Stretched Canvas.
I'll try anything. :D
Blue Girl
2014. 9"x12" Watercolors.
This is a painting of my daughter.
Reference photo is a self-portrait that she took of herself. :)
